Case Study: Trainco

Issue:

Client expanded to multiple locations and needed to share their accounting application and files across all sites.  The environment consisted of a single server being shared over an unreliable internet using residential remote control software.

Resolution:

Server was put behind a secure router/firewall and a VPN tunnel was built between sites.

Issue:

Client expanded further and needed a faster and more reliable method of delivering a connection to their company servers.

Resolution:

Servers were consolidated to virtual machines and migrated to CWI’s datacenter.  All remote locations were connected via VPN tunnels to CWI.  Disaster recovery and backup schema were applied using CWI’s remote backup and disaster recovery planning.

Issue:

Company email was being hosted by a large home use service provider that did not allow custom domain names.  This was creating confusion for the client’s identity and difficulty controlling backups of sensitive email communication.

Resolution:

Hosted Exchange email was put in place giving the client full control over their email system.  The company was able to have email addresses that matched their website domain while providing an easy method to fully backup their email.
